TinyDuties is an app for parents. Children do not have accounts; the app is used by adults. This page explains what information we keep and why.

What we keep

• About you: your email address, and your name if you entered one. If you signed in with Apple, the identifier Apple provides and (if you chose to share it) your email address.
• About your children: the name and birth year you add. We do not ask for anything else, such as photos, school or location.
• Usage: which of a day's cards were done, the answers you typed in the evening talks, the steps reached in each skill, and which parent marked them.

Why we keep it

Only so that the app works: so that parents in the same family see the same progress, and so that the child's life journey takes shape. We do not show ads, we do not sell information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing. The app has no ads or tracking tools.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, your device's notification token (push token) is sent to us; we keep it only to send the "a mission for you" and "did it" notifications. They are delivered by Apple's notification service (APNs) on iPhone and iPad and by Google's (Firebase Cloud Messaging) on Android, and contain the child's name and the task's text. Signing out or deleting your account removes the device; you can also turn notifications off in the phone's settings.

Goal ideas you share

When you add a goal of your own, Suggest this idea to TinyDuties comes ticked; untick it if you prefer. If you leave it ticked, the goal's name, steps and category are also sent to us, and we read them to improve the app's own skills and cards. That copy holds nothing about you, your family or your child, so we cannot tell who wrote it. For the same reason it stays even if you delete your account; please keep names out of the steps.

Who sees it

A family's information is seen only by the parents who are members of that family. When you invite someone to your family, the person who uses the invite code sees the family's children and their records. An invite code works for one person and is valid for 7 days.

Where it is stored

Information is stored on servers in the European Union. The companies we use: server hosting (Hetzner, Germany), database (MongoDB Atlas) and sign-in code emails (Resend, Ireland). These companies process the information only on our behalf.

Deletion

You can delete your account at any time with Delete my account on the Family screen in the app. If no other parent shares the family with you, the family, its children and all of their records are deleted too. If you share it, the family stays with the other parent. When you remove a child from the family, all of that child's records are deleted.
